The domain name that fits your business may be about to become available.
NameDibs watches the domain names scheduled for deletion each day. When one fits an existing business, we get in touch and offer to try to register it for them.
How it works
- 1
A registration lapses
Every day, thousands of domain names are not renewed by their owners. After a waiting period, the registry schedules each one for deletion on a set date.
- 2
We look for a fit
We read through the names scheduled for deletion and look for ones that plainly match what an existing business already does or is called.
- 3
We offer to try to get it for you
If a name fits your business, one of us writes to you personally. If you want the name, you can hire us to try to register it for you when it is released.
Where we stand
- We do not own the names we write to you about.
- Once a name is deleted, anyone, including you, can try to register it. Popular names are often contested.
- You can hire us to try to register a name for you. If we succeed, we register it and transfer it to you.
- We cannot guarantee that we would succeed, and we will tell you so before you hire us.
- A message from us is never a renewal notice or an invoice. You owe nothing, and nothing happens to your existing domain if you ignore it.
- The deletion date we quote is the registry's scheduled date. We do not add deadlines of our own.
Got a message from us?
If the name interests you, reply to the message and the person who wrote to you will send the details of how hiring us works. If it does not, you do not need to do anything.
If you would rather not hear from us again, reply “unsubscribe” or write to domains@namedibs.com. We will not contact your business again.
Not sure a message really came from us? Forward it to the same address and we will tell you.
